Star of wonder

From the virgin blogger (my first ever blog entry)

Welcome to our new website and the Revival Time Blog. When we started making Green Tea, back in the last century, ok it was only 1996, but back then we had no idea how popular it would become. Green tea is now drunk by more than quarter of women in the UK, so we thought we’d dedicate a website to Green Tea and all those who have discovered what is so good about this mighty drink.

Earlier this year we got some green tea drinkers together to ask them why they had adopted green tea – they told us that they wanted to improve their lifestyle, basically it was all about giving something back to their bodies; as green tea is naturally high in antioxidants, hydrating and calorie free – this was a valuable contribution to any healthy lifestyle plan. After the season of indulgence, Claire and I plan on putting it to the test in our January detox, why don’t you follow us and share your green tea stories with us?

    I have been drinking green tea for a great many years, mostly “gunpowder” or “chun mee” (both of them bought, infused and used as loose teas not tea bags).

    I drink it not only because of the health benefits, but also and primarily, because I like it, I like its aroma and its taste.

    However, if you like GREEN tea, try WHITE tea, even richer in antioxidants and with a fresh, delightful flavour whether taken as a pure tea or in an infusion with other herbs or flowers such as lotus and orange.

    Basically I started drinking green tea as I found regular tea didn’t agree with me. I started by simply talking out the milk from regular but then I had a problem whenever anyone else made me a cup. (Later family members concluded that I am lactose intolerant).

    After i decided that being polite was bad for my health i switched to Green tea. I didn’t need any milk or sugar i just gave them the bag and said add hot water. Still I make the mistake of making my tea too strong when i use loose leaves.

    This seems to suggest that Green Tea is more popular with women than men. Why do you suppose this is ?

    Hello –

    I just wanted to leave a note for Clipper – I was one of the winners of your previous competition and yesterday I received a lovely set of two teas in tins and a reusable cotton bag, which was a lovely suprise!

    Green Tea has received a lot of positive press over the last few years;
    being linked with benefits that include, increasing metabolism, to
    helping slow down signs of aging. Women are general quicker to adopt
    products that are linked with health and wellbeing – though men are
    starting to drink green tea too.
